Riley Cutner-Orrantia Lauded as one of San Diego’s Next Top Business Leaders Under 40
San Diego Business Journal Pays Tribute to City’s Rising Stars
SAN DIEGO. Riley Cutner-Orrantia – an attorney at Crosbie Gliner Schiffman Southard & Swanson (CGS3) – has been named one of the San Diego Business Journal’s “Next Top Business Leaders Under 40” for 2024. This annual tribute recognizes San Diego’s most promising young leaders in a variety of industries.
According to CGS3 founding partner Sean Southard, Cutner-Orrantia is a key member of the firm’s legal team and well deserving of this latest accolade. “Riley is a rising star in legal and environmental circles, also emerging as an expert in complex luxury retail leasing and development transactions,” Southard said. “She also skillfully represents developers and investors in all phases of the commercial real estate cycle – including acquisition, financing, and construction in connection with commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects – and we are proud to have her on our team.”
Prior to joining CGS3 in 2022, she cultivated her legal and deal management skills in a variety of transactions including real estate, renewable energy, and P-3 infrastructure projects as an associate at the Denver office of Kaplan Kirsch & Rockwell LLP, a boutique law firm with a nationwide practice. She has also worked as an associate real estate broker and was a student attorney with Colorado Law Sustainable Community Development Clinic.
In addition to the law, she is passionate about and recognized in the environmental arena and has worked for Earthjustice and was the managing editor of the Colorado Natural Resources, Energy and Environmental Law Review. She holds a B.S. degree in environmental science from UCLA and a J.D. from the University of Colorado.
