Riley Cutner-Orrantia Recognized with Connect CRE’s Next Generation Award for 2025
Commercial Real Estate Publication Pays Tribute to Rising Stars Nationwide
SAN DIEGO – Riley Cutner-Orrantia – an attorney at Crosbie Gliner Schiffman Southard & Swanson (CGS3) – has received the Connect CRE Next Generation Award for 2025. This nationwide annual tribute lauds young, rising real estate professionals nationwide for “talent, drive and fresh ideas.”
According to CGS3 founding partner Sean Southard, Cutner-Orrantia is a well deserving recipient of this latest honor and a core member of the firm’s legal team –representing developers and investors in all phases of the commercial real estate cycle. “Riley is a stand-out attorney with a deep-seated passion and talent for commercial real estate and leasing, especially complex luxury retail leasing,” Southard said. “Additionally, she is an active and engaged community leader and has overcome challenges through determination, intellectual rigor, and a clear vision for her career.”
Cutner-Orrantia joined CGS3 in January 2022 and handles high volumes of leasing transactions that includes retail, luxury retail, office, mixed-use and solar leases as well as acquisition, financing, and construction in connection with commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects. Prior to joining CGS3, she cultivated her legal and deal management skills in a variety of transactions including real estate, renewable energy, and P-3 infrastructure projects as an associate at the Denver office of Kaplan Kirsch & Rockwell LLP, a boutique law firm with a nationwide practice. She has also worked as an associate real estate broker and was a student attorney with Colorado Law Sustainable Community Development Clinic.
In addition to the law, she is passionate about and recognized in the environmental arena and has worked for Earthjustice and was the managing editor of the Colorado Natural Resources, Energy and Environmental Law Review.
She holds a B.S. degree in environmental science from UCLA and a J.D. from the University of Colorado.
