CGS3 Partners Lauded by Local Business Publication

SAN DIEGO – Three Crosbie Gliner Schiffman Southard & Swanson (CGS3) partners – Priya Huggett, Ann Maas and  Amelia Sanchez – have each been recognized by the San Diego Business Journal as Women of Influence in Law for 2023.

Each year, the San Diego Business Journal recognizes San Diego’s female trailblazers within the legal field – publicly acknowledging their contributions, accomplishments and commitment in a special section.

“We are thrilled to have three of our partners honored in this annual recognition,” said CGS3 partner Sean Southard. “Each exemplifies our commitment to delivering a best in class client experience and has significant expertise in complex transactions and corporate matters in a full range of commercial real estate sectors.”

Offering a testament to the firm’s enduring commitment to attract best-in-class lawyers, Huggett joined CGS3 as partner last year, and was previously the general counsel of Brixton Capital. With experience in all facets of commercial real estate – including acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, finance and operations covering multifamily, retail, residential, hospitality and office assets – her practice emphasizes a variety of corporate/commercial and real estate transactions, particularly private equity, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and commercial contracts including vendor and licensing contracts.

Originally joining CGS3 in 2013, Maas was promoted from senior counsel to partner in June of 2022. Throughout her more than 25-year legal career, she has accrued experience representing both landlords and tenants with particular emphasis on office and retail leasing and also has considerable expertise in purchase and sale transactions. Prior to joining CGS3, she was an attorney at Mintz Levin and Allen Matkins and was also in-house senior counsel at Equastone, a real estate investment firm.

Sanchez joined CGS3 as senior counsel in 2015 and was promoted to partner in 2022.  With over two decades of commercial real estate and transactional experience – including both in-house and law firm positions – she has successfully represented national, regional and local companies in all asset categories. She has developed deep expertise in supporting and advising business clients on leasing transactions that include retail, office, financial, life science, mixed use, industrial, telecommunications and solar leases and on purchase and sale transactions as well as handling a variety of business and transactional matters.  Prior to joining CGS3, she was senior legal counsel for Cricket Communications in San Diego and also worked at Newland Communities and Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton representing commercial real estate clients.
