SAN DIEGO (April 26, 2021) – June Hunter, head of IT Services at Crosbie Gliner Schiffman Southard & Swanson (CGS3), has been recognized as one of the San Diego Business Journal’s “Influential Women in Technology” for 2021.

Each year, the San Diego Business Journal recognizes San Diego’s female trailblazers in the technology field – publicly acknowledging their contributions and commitment in a special section.

Hunter, who is also a paralegal, has a powerful combination of IT and legal expertise which she utilizes every day to create real world tech solutions for CGS3, enabling the firm to deliver legal services more efficiently and effectively than competing law firms.

According to CGS3 partner Sean Southard, her work is essential to the firm’s commitment to effectively using technology to reduce overhead, improve overall efficiencies and maximize attorney flexibility and client responsiveness. “June’s consistent efforts have contributed significantly to the excellence of our firm, enhancing efficiency through reliable systems and allowing for reduced turnaround times,” Southard said. “Her extraordinary IT and legal expertise are the backbone of the design and implementation of real-world tech solutions that support our lawyers in their commitment to meeting client needs quickly and effectively.”

A graduate of the ABA-approved Paralegal Studies program at UC San Diego, Hunter has worked in the legal field her entire career in roles such as a legal secretary, paralegal, litigation support, and computer software trainer. Her industry experience and talent has made her a go-to provider of clear, hands-on training for other legal professionals in how to effectively use legal software.

A member of the board of directors and paralegal mentor for the San Diego Paralegal Association (SDPA), she is an active member of American Association for Paralegal Education, Women in eDiscovery and the ESI Forum. She also teaches computer skills courses for UC San Diego’s Paralegal Studies Program.
