Brian Kintz Named a Finalist in San Diego Business Journal’s Annual CFO of the Year Awards
CGS3 Partner, Brian Kintz, lauded CFO of the Year Finalist
SAN DIEGO (Monday, August 8, 2025) – Crosbie Gliner Schiffman Southard & Swanson LLP (CGS3) is proud to announce that partner and chief financial officer Brian Kintz has been named a finalist in the San Diego Business Journal’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Year Awards.
Each year, the San Diego Business Journal honors outstanding financial leaders whose behind-the-scenes contributions drive organizational success. The awards recognize both finalists and winners for their strategic vision, financial acumen, and operational impact.

Kintz was elected CFO of CGS3 in 2019. Since then, he has overseen all aspects of the firm’s financial operations—coordinating internal and external accounting and tax teams, managing budgeting and financial reporting, and supervising billing processes and personnel. In addition, he plays a key role on the firm’s management, compensation, and partnership selection committees, collaborating closely with leadership across multiple departments including legal, HR, technology, AI and marketing.
He joined CGS3 as a founding member in 2013. His leadership has been instrumental in scaling the firm from five to 29 employees and expanding its service offerings to include litigation, construction and development, distressed real estate workouts, and entity formation and tax.
Additionally, he is an active community leader and currently serves as the vice president and member of the Board of Directors for the Children’s Dental Health Association of San Diego, which provides dental services and education to underprivileged children.
