CGS3 Attorney Lauded by the Daily Transcript in “40 Under 40″
Jamie Buggy Named one of San Diego’s Top 40 Under 40 Professionals
SAN DIEGO (Sept. 10, 2020) – Crosbie Gliner Schiffman Southard & Swanson (CGS3) attorney Jamie Buggy has been named among San Diego’s “Top 40 Under 40 Professionals” by The Daily Transcript, a leading local business publication.
Published annually, this year’s round up of honorees was released in a special Sept. 9 supplement profiling the city’s rising young stars in real estate, law, finance, construction, government, nonprofit work and small business.
According to the Transcript, all 40 Under 40 recipients have made an impact on their company, industry and community.
An associate attorney specializing in complex business disputes, Buggy is a key member of the CGS3 workout and litigation practice teams and an indispensable advisor to clients with commercial real property disputes.
Over the last few months, she has counseled over 100 landlords and tenants regarding the new COVID-19 regulations that impact their businesses. She has been working tenaciously to guide landlord clients through a complex range of new regulations enacted in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, emerging as an expert in that new area of the law. Challenging issues she is now handling include eviction restrictions/regulations, tenant defenses based on condemnation and force majeure theories, and complex receivership matters.
Since earning her J.D. at the University of San Diego School of Law, she has quickly worked her way up the legal industry ranks – serving as lead counsel for a number of high-profile cases related to real estate disputes, including breach of contract, fraud, insurance coverage, partnership disputes, and breach of fiduciary duty.
She is active both in the community and professionally, lending her talents to professional and nonprofit organizations.
