Ulrick Matsunaga Recognized as a “Lawyer on the Fast Track” at Annual California Legal Awards Event

LOS ANGELES (June 30, 2026) – Winners of the 2026 California Legal Awards were recently announced – with Crosbie Gliner Schiffman Southard & Swanson LLP (CGS3) attorney Ulrick Matsunaga recognized among the 2026 “Lawyers on the Fast Track” in the real estate category.

Honorees were recognized during an awards celebration held Wednesday, June 24, at the Sheraton Grand in Los Angeles.

Ulrick is a key member of the firm’s entity formation and tax practice and was instrumental in establishing CGS3’s sustainability and renewable energy practice group.  He advises clients on sophisticated transactional structures and innovative green financing strategies, including Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) financing and related tax credit opportunities.

With a practice at the intersection of partnership taxation, entity structuring and commercial real estate transactions, Ulrick serves as a trusted advisor on many of the firm’s most complex and high-value matters. From intricate tenancy-in-common arrangements to multi-entity restructurings, he develops strategic, technically sophisticated solutions designed to address evolving business objectives and client needs.

Beyond his legal practice, Ulrick serves as a Professor of Federal Estate and Gift Taxation at the University of San Diego School of Law.  He is also an active member of NAIOP San Diego, a supporter of the Oceanside Museum of Art and a dedicated advocate for wildlife conservation through his involvement with the San Diego Wildlife Alliance.  He earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law.
