CGS3 Partner Named One of San Diego’s Most Influential Business Leaders
Sean Southard, a founding partner of Crosbie Gliner Schiffman Southard & Swanson (CGS3), has been featured in the San Diego Business Journal ‘s (SDBJ) SD500, an annual publication which pays tribute to the city’s 500 most influential business leaders.
Published on Nov. 18, the 2024 edition of the SD500 features a long roster of top professionals who make a significant impact on the San Diego business community and the community at large.
According to the SDBJ, the SD500 list represents influential members of the San Diego business community – each has helped shape how the region has grown and evolved over the years.
A top attorney in his field, Southard is well deserving of this latest accolade. Prior to helping launch CGS3 in 2013, he was a Big Law associate and partner following his tenure as a U.S. Navy officer which he spent four years on a guided missile cruiser in Iraq and Somalia and served in Operation Desert Storm and Operation Restore Hope.
A master at high-velocity commercial real estate deals, he has successfully completed major leasing transactions totaling millions of square feet of space across all sectors of commercial real estate, including retail, industrial, life science and office. He also has extensive experience in the negotiation and documentation of purchase and sale, sale-lease-back and ground lease transactions, development and property management agreements, and all other types of agreements relating to the use and development of real property.
As one of the five original founding partners of CGS3, Southard has played a proactive role in creating the firm’s “different by design” architecture that has led to sustained growth, a marquis list of institutional clients and a recognized brand of legal excellence.
A frequent lecturer at various legal educational seminars and real estate industry trade group conferences and programs, Southard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations from University of San Diego and a J.D. from Loyola Law School Los Angeles.
